How it works
So you want to have a Casino Party or Poker Tournament?
How does a Casino Party work?
At the start of the event, each guest is given a special coupon or voucher redeemable at any gaming table for a predetermined amount of chips. Guests can then play games of their choosing and can even switch from table to table or game to game just like in a real Las Vegas Casino. At the end of the evening, players then cash in their chips at any gaming table for raffle tickets to go towards any prizes the host offers.
Do I need prizes for my event?
Not necessarily, but even one small prize will add to the excitement of the casino. People like the spirit of competition. Prizes can range from gift certificates to home electronics -- anything appropriate for your event.
NOTE: Prizes are necessary for charity fundraisers. Successful fundraisers generally have businesses donate the prizes for the casino.
When would I have a Casino Party?
Casino parties are great for any occasion! They're for groups of several thousand people to a home party of 5 to 10 people. They're great for company parties, team building events, home parties, proms, graduation lock-ins, bar mitzvahs, birthday parties, fundraisers, grand openings and the list goes on and on.
Where would I have a Casino Party?
If it's a company party or convention, these parties usually take place in hotel banquet rooms or even at country clubs. Sometimes companies will have them onsite. If you need to book a hotel banquet room or a country club, you will need to book several months in advance. Some December holiday parties held at hotels might be booked up as early as May or earlier!
What can I expect if I want to host a Poker Tournament?
A Texas Hold'em Tournament is a more structured activity than a traditional casino party. Generally speaking, players need to be seated at roughly the same time and remain at the poker table until they are knocked out of the tournament or the tournament is over.
Poker Tournaments can be an excellent fundraiser. Ask how your fundraiser can be full paid for before your first guest arrives.
